What is MCP, and why it matters for invoicing

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants like Claude connect to real tools and take real actions. Because Invco exposes its features through a built-in MCP server, Claude doesn't scrape a screen or guess — it calls Invco's own actions, with your permission.

That means accurate invoices, on your real templates, with your real client data, sent from your real email.

How to set it up

Getting Claude connected to Invco takes a couple of minutes:

• Create a free Invco account and add your business details and a template.
• Generate a per-user MCP key in Settings → MCP access.
• Add Invco's MCP server to Claude with that key.
• Ask Claude to create a client or an invoice — it's connected to your account only.

What you can ask Claude to do

Once connected, you can run invoicing in plain English:

• “Create a client called Northwind Traders.”
• “Invoice Acme for the June retainer of $650 on my Modern template and email it.”
• “Mark invoice INV-0042 as paid.”
• “What invoices are still unpaid this month?”
