What is FreshBooks?

FreshBooks is cloud accounting software for small businesses. As of October 2026, its pricing page lists Lite at $23, Plus at $43 and Premium at $70 per month in USD, before introductory discounts, with 5, 50 and unlimited billable clients respectively. Select is priced on request.

FreshBooks lets you run more than one business from one login, but its help centre says information in each business is kept separate, “including your FreshBooks subscription”. Each new business starts on its own trial.

What is Invco?

Invco is invoicing software for people who run more than one company. One login holds every company, each with its own branding, invoice templates, clients, sequential invoice numbering and email address. Upload the invoice PDF you already use and Invco detects where the fields go, or design a template on a drag-and-drop canvas. Invoices go out as branded PDFs from each company's own address, client replies are filed against the right invoice, and Claude can do all of it through Invco's built-in MCP server.

Starter is $10/month for 1 company, Growth is $20/month for up to 3 companies, Pro is $30/month for up to 8 companies, Scale is $50/month for up to 20 companies, and Unlimited is $100/month with no cap. Every feature is on every plan, with no per-invoice fees.

When should you choose Invco over FreshBooks?

Invco is the better fit when:

  • You bill from several companies and don't want a separate subscription for each one.
  • You want each company's invoice to keep its existing design, reused from your own PDF.
  • Invoices must come from each company's own email address.
  • You already keep your books elsewhere (or with an accountant) and only need invoicing.

When is FreshBooks the better choice?

Be honest with yourself about what you need. FreshBooks is the better fit when:

  • You want invoicing, online payments, expenses and accounting in one product.
  • You need recurring invoices, automatic reminders or estimates.
  • You run a single business and want bookkeeping included.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Invco and FreshBooks?

FreshBooks is accounting software with invoicing, payments, expenses and reports, priced per business: each business you add in FreshBooks carries its own subscription. Invco does invoicing only, and one Invco plan covers several companies, each with its own branding, templates and email address.

Can I manage multiple businesses in FreshBooks?

Yes, FreshBooks lets you add more than one business to one login. According to the FreshBooks help centre (checked October 2026), each business is kept separate, including its subscription, so every business is billed on its own plan.

Is Invco a FreshBooks alternative?

Invco is a FreshBooks alternative for invoicing only. It suits people who run several companies, want one plan to cover them, and want invoices sent from each company's own email address. It does not do accounting, expenses, online payments, recurring invoices or reminders, which FreshBooks does.

Which is cheaper for three companies, Invco or FreshBooks?

Invco's Growth plan covers up to 3 companies for $20 a month in total. In FreshBooks each business has its own subscription, with Lite listed at $23 a month in USD before promotions as of October 2026. FreshBooks also includes accounting, which Invco does not.
